About Hilary
Born Hilary Marie Kent at Newborough, Staffordshire, England I spent a very happy childhood living with my parents and sister on our small holding in rural Staffordshire. My mother was the local Primary school cook and local post mistress and my father the local postman and school caretaker.
I attended the local primary school "The Meynall Ingram School CE(A)" Hoar Cross Nr. Burton on Trent Staffordshire between 1963 - 1970 and later attended Oldfields Hall School for Girls Uttoxeter Staffordshire, between 1970 - 1975.
I then fulfilled my dream by training to be a nurse at The Derby School of Nursing, Derbyshire Royal Infirmary, Derby between 1975 - 1983.
I first met Andrew through the Uttoxeter JNFU in 1980, at that time he had just completed his HND and was working with his father on the family run dairy farm in Newport Shropshire. I married him in August 1983 at Christ Church Needwood, my local parish church. After our marriage I then moved to our bungalow in Church Aston, Newport Shropshire, and lived there for 10 very happy years in 1993 we moved to the farmhouse at Chetwynd Aston, Newport and spent equally happy times .
We welcomed our eldest daughter in 1987, our second daughter in 1989 both born in the maternity hospital in Shrewsbury, our third daughter was born in 1993 and our fourth daughter in 1995 both in the Wrekin Hospital. During all that time I had been able to pursue my career as RGN with an orthopedic interest at Stafford District General Hospital.
