Gites at La Vergne Grand Madieu, is situated in the department of Charente, between Angouleme, Poitiers and Limoges. The farm is about 5km from Champagne Mouton which has good local facilities and is only a 30 minute drive from Angouleme, where the selection of shops and restaurants is superb.   There are many good quality local restaurants offering menus at prices to suite all pockets. The area is well served by transport links, particularly the low cost airlines. Ryanair fly into Limoges and Poitiers  both only  1 hours drive away from La Vergne. BMI Baby fly  into Bordeaux only 2 hours drive away from La Vergne. Both Ryanair and BMI Baby offer cheap flights with good reductions on their off season flights.
