Hannah
Hannah is our very bouncy "Kangaroo". She continues to be our little drummer girl thoroughly looking forward to Wednesday afternoons and alternate Tuesday evenings for drum lessons with Luc and orchestra practice with Michel. The evening of the Audition at Massignac loomed and she came home from school and said that she had fallen over and hurt her wrist. She could not play her drums without it hurting her. So Mum whizzed her off to the hospital at Confolens to get an X-ray. Fortunately the wrist was not fractured only sprained and a splint was applied. We rushed back home in time for her to have a quick practice on the drum kit, she was adamant that she wanted to play at the spectacle. So a very brave girl appeared on stage with her arm in a splint and played her pieces without fault!!
In June Hannah took part in the school Spectacle singing songs from around the world from many different cultures. Michel Mathe came into school fortnightly to teach the whole school to sing as a choir we all enjoyed the evening very much.
In August Hannah and most of the family traveled up to Mayenne to celebrate Chantal and Christophe's twentieth wedding anniversary it was so good to see Aurelie, Sandra and Anne-Gaelle and the rest of the family. Hannah had a wonderful time dancing and playing games with the children.
The highlight of the summer hoildays was when Auntie Sylvie, Ella, George and Harriet paid a surprise visit. There was much fun and frolics, during their stay both Gites were full and there were thirteen children. Great evenings were spent in our garden enjoying BBQ's the adults talking whilst the children played. Many tears were spent when it came time to say Goodbye until next time.
